DNA replication:
The pairing of bases allows the cell to replicate, or make copies of, DNA. Each base always bonds with only one other base. Pairs of bases are complementary to each other, and both sides of a DNA molecule are complementary. For example, the sequence CGAC will bond to the sequence GCTG.
