Macromolecules!!!!
What are Macromolecules?? There are four classes of Macromolecules carbohydrates, lipids, nucleic acids, and proteins. While they have different functions and structures they are all long complex chains of molecules.
Lipids
Lipids are a type of Macromolecule. They include fats, waxes, phospholipids, and different types of vitamins. The three major puposes of lipids in the body are storing energy, aiding the development of cell membranes, and serving as components of hormones and vitamins.
Carbohydrates
Carbohydrates have several roles in living organisms including energy transportation, as well as being structural components of plants and arthropods. They include sugars like potatoes.
Nucleic Acids
These molecules are involved in genetic information, as well as forming structure within cells. Two types of Nucleic Acid are DNA and RNA.
Proteins
Proteins are in every cell and tissue of the body. It is in the muscles, bones, hair, nails, and skin. Proteins are made of amino acids. There are 20 amino acids
