Evolution:
Evolution is the process in which inherited characteristics within a population change over generations such that new species sometimes aris. Evidence that organisms have changed over time is buried within Earths crust.
Fossils:
A fossil is the remain or imprint of a once-living organism found in layers of rock. Fossils usually form when a dead organism is covered by a layer of sedimentary rock. The fossil record provides evidence about the order in which species have existed. Thye fossil record is a timeline of life.
Charles Darwin:
Charles Darwin is known for evolution. He made observations that helped him form a theory about evolution. He noticed that animals on the Galapagos islans were alot like those in Ecuador. After returning to England he thought about the animals. He hypothesized that the island finches were from South America and had been blown over by a storm. Charles helped us learn more about evolution on Earth.
